They are technically the same. "Level 3" is a common term used in North America to describe high-speed charging using direct current (DC), whereas AC charging is categorized as Level 1 (120V) or Level 2 (240V).
Most modern EVs are equipped with a DC fast charging port (CCS1, CCS2, CHAdeMO, or GB/T). However, some older plug-in hybrids or early EVs only support AC charging. Beihai Power chargers are engineered with multi-standard plugs to ensure 98% vehicle compatibility.
